Valentine's Inspo Part 1: The Red Valentine

The dress that says “Va-Va-Voom” (or maybe that was the car)

Most days I am in my pajamas, but once in awhile I like to get fancy… and maybe take a shower (kidding! I’m an obsessive shower taker!). I put together not one, but TWO Valentine’s date night outfits that I hope will give you some ideas! Part two here: Valentine’s Inspo Part 2: The Dress to Impress!

I don’t care what you say, red on Valentine’s is absolutely not cliché; and neither are red roses, red lipstick, and red ferraris! Add some accessories that make you feel glamorous and you are good to go! And let me just say these strappy black shoes are super comfortable with just enough heel for that long-leg look, but nothing too crazy that you’ll go home with a sprained ankle.

I got this dress at Forever 21 and it is aahhmmazzziinnng for only $29! It’s a bold little dress with delicate lace details and an eye popping fit and color. Unfortunately, they don’t sell it online (same with the necklace I bought). So I found a similar one you might like instead.

The shoes were only $15 at JustFab! The shoes I have are the Selby Heeled Sandal. They have $10 (plus shipping) deals on a lot of their shoes for first-time subscribers!

Self Tanner

I’m not really this tan (yes, I know I’m not like tan tan, but I am tanner than usual in these shots!), I used Vita Liberata’s pHenomenal self tanner in “Fair”, smoothed out with their SPF 50 self-tan dry oil. I might step it up to “Medium” tint the next time around. The tanner really works well for me, and it does last a while (but definitely not a full 2-3 weeks). It says it is “odorless”, but it’s not… though it’s not quite as potent as others I’ve tried. My husband actually said he’s starting to like the smell! Haha. For my face, I use a blending brush from e.l.f. which works waaay better than a hand or the mitt.

Spread the Love!

I hope you’ve enjoyed these photos and the outfit as much as I enjoyed putting this all together for you! I really did have a blast (especially when running up to a Ferrari parked on the side of the road for the shot!).

Also, I’m totally new to blogging, especially fashion blogging, and I’d love your feedback on everything from the photos, to the outfits, to my writing, product links, the website, etc.! Let me know what you think in the comments below, on my facebook, instagram, twitter, or any where else you might find me around. I’d honestly love to know what you think!
